For the next fiscal year, the Karnali province has unveiled a budget of Rs32.61 billion. Recurrent expenses will cost Rs9.16 billion of the overall budget, while capital expenses will cost Rs19.43 billion.
According to Bindaman Bista, the provincial minister for economic affairs and planning in Karnali, the province has placed a strong emphasis on physical infrastructure.
In order to reduce accidents, the province has declared that it would apply the Road Act. The province has set up Rs10.92 billion for urban planning and construction.
To ensure that everyone has access to safe drinking water, the province has announced the beginning of its "one house, one tap" program. To offer prompt care to the populace, the province administration has declared plans to build a trauma center in Rakam of Dailekh.
The province is at risk for traffic accidents, which result in the deaths of hundreds of people each year. The budget has designated money for the evacuation of expectant mothers and for the quick treatment of persons from rural places who are suffering from urgent diseases.
The government has committed Rs336 million to proclaim a province with a completely functional literacy rate. The "one local unit, one community school" infrastructure development program will be introduced under this plan.
