USA return to World Stage
The USMNT will face off against Qatar's strongest overall group in its eighth World Cup appearance. With Wales, England, and IR Iran in Group B, the four countries have an average ranking of 15.
The 32-nation format will be used for the last World Cup, which will take place in 2022 and will be the first to be hosted in the Middle East. The 32-nation model will be used for eight groups of four teams. The top two finishers in each group after group play proceed to the knockout stage of the competition, which runs from December 3–18. Eight state-of-the-art stadiums in Qatar, will host all 64 games of the tournament, and they are all about a one-hour drive from Doha, the country's capital.
YOUNG AMERICAN SQUAD 2022
The USMNT gained invaluable experience by enduring the rigors of World Cup qualification because they were by far the youngest squad to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The USA Starting XI scored an average of 23.82 through 14 qualifiers, over two years younger than the next-closest squad, Ghana, who scored an average of 25.67. Through qualifying, the other 31 competing teams' Starting XIs had an average age of 27.5, or roughly four full years older than the United States.
The USMNT played 10 of the 11 youngest lineups in the world during the recently ended qualifying cycle, with all 14 lineups falling in the 23 youngest Starting XIs in the world going back to October 2020, according to the data that is currently available for eligible teams.
Nine U-23 players on the 2022 team's roster, including Tyler Adams (23); Brenden Aaronson, Sergio Dest, Josh Sargent, and Tim Weah (22); Jess Ferreira (21); Yunus Musah, Gio Reyna, and Joe Scally; equal the 1990 USA squad for the most U-23 players on a USMNT World Cup roster (19).
Although Gio Reyna turns 20 on November 12 and Yunus Musah turns 20 on November 29, the day of the USA's last group stage match against Iran, this is the first USMNT World Cup team with more than one adolescent on the roster.
TEAM USA HAS A HIGH PROBABILITY TO WIN WORLD CUP:
Team USA is anticipated to be one of the best team on the upcoming Qatar world cup 2022. Here are the various reason that might lead USMNT to win the world cup 2022.
- Has one of the youngest squad in world cup 2022.
- Young players with high spirit and endurance.
- Experienced players despite being young squad.
- The US National team currently has good athletes and some pretty decent players.
It is never guaranteed that well known teams will win world cup as we have seen Brazil losing 7-1 against Germany in 2016 world cup. And underdog teams are always rising like wales at one time. But due to absolute teamwork, technical skill and football rising as a tradition in America and kudos to its young beast team, we may not be surprised to see USMNT winning the Qatar world cup 2022.
