There have been rumors that Halbrand is Sauron ever since he first appeared in "The Rings of Power" season two's second episode. There were several instances where his actions and those of Sauron were comparable. Finally, his identity was made known in the last episode of Season 1, when it was discovered that the King of the Southlands was truly the Dark Lord. As a skilled con artist, Sauron was shown to have duped everyone he encountered on his journey to Eregion, where he met Celebrimbor and corrupted his creation. Let's thus examine Halbrand's every move and explore his motivations. Let's attempt to dissect his intentions into component parts and determine how he thought through each and every action. Everything Halbrand did was for a reason. Everything he did, however, served to advance his wicked schemes since he was able to mask his motivations and convince others that he was a king whose kingdom had met a terrible end.

Halbrand initially appeared in the television series "The Rings of Power," and we immediately recognized that there was something enigmatic about him. He seemed to be thinking something evilly from the way he was looking at Galadriel. He was planning his next move continually, as shown by the look in his eyes. He was a cunning conspirator who was constantly one step ahead of his rivals. It seemed like a coincidence that Galadriel and Halbrand had crossed paths in the Sundering Seas. Halbrand could have planned it carefully as well, though. Halbrand and Galadriel were on a raft when the enormous sea monster attacked it when it was on the prowl, but both of them managed to escape with their lives. He was wearing a locket, which Galadriel observed. Halbrand carefully tucks it down into his vest as if he were trying to conceal it. Galadriel was very curious as a result of this one simple deed. Perhaps Sauron understood the psychology of all living things. Galadriel was given the impression that although he could have been the King of the Southlands, he was hiding the locket out of remorse, humility, and goodwill. He has Galadriel think that the orcs assaulted his native country, forcing him to flee. He was presented as the victim of his own actions, which was ironic in the circumstances.

Galadriel no longer had any reason to doubt him or his tale, which he was completely making up. There was nothing there to gain. Nobody could have predicted that he would plan to do such wicked things in that circumstance. He managed to conceal his true identity by appearing to be a typical man. Galadriel had overlooked the fact that Sauron was not seeking immediate satisfaction but rather the accomplishment of a long-term objective. The biggest advantage he had was that he kept his enemies guessing since they couldn't draw a connection between his actions and whatever evil was taking on around them. Galadriel may have thought that he might not be giving the whole truth, but she was unable to conclude that he was Sauron due to the way he had concealed his tracks. After personally confirming that he was the King of the Southlands, Galadriel made him an offer to take back his exiled realm. Halbrand was aware that she had already decided he was the King of the Southlands at this point. She got the impression from Halbrand that she wouldn't be able to support his cause. He gave Galadriel the impression that he had no need of her. But below his dishonest exterior, he was actively attempting to exploit her as a pawn in order to gratify his sinister impulses.

Halbrand was able to infiltrate Numenor, where he began to influence both Galadriel and Pharazon. Halbrand offered the Queen Regent some counsel while she was not paying attention to Galadriel, demonstrating how well he knew the nuances of human nature and was always one step ahead of whatever he was speaking to at the moment. Galadriel is instructed by him to first find out what her opponent fears the most. Knowing that Tar-Palantir was the Queen Regent's favorite character, he urged her to see him. The Queen was informed by Galadriel that she could assist the monarch in overcoming her worries, as Halbrand had suggested. Galadriel could entice the Queen to do whatever she desired, according to what he had indicated. The Queen consented to dispatch her ships to the Southlands and actually went with Galadriel. Galadriel had grown to trust Halbrand. Little did people realize that he had done this since Adar was also his opponent when he joined Galadriel in battle and once again demonstrated his commitment. Because of the way Sauron handled the orcs, Adar had turned against him. Adar thought that the orcs should be treated with respect since he regarded them to be his own offspring. Galadriel was unaware that by waging war against Adar, she was inadvertently aiding Sauron.

After the battle, Galadriel was even more persuaded that Halbrand was not there to spread evil. He was introduced to the Southlands populace as the "King who was promised" by Queen Miriel. We are unsure if Halbrand intentionally hurt himself because he knew Galadriel would have to take him to Eregion, or if it was pure coincidence that Galadriel ended up carrying him there. However, Sauron eventually made it to Eregion. He made a proposal to Celebrimbor that enabled him to get around the obstacle and forge the power rings. His ability to influence Celebrimbor and have a dialogue with him was demonstrated by the way he approached him. Halbrand began collaborating with him as well. He was able to corrupt the rings while he was there. Galadriel realized she had been duped all along when he left. She instructed Celebrimbor to create three additional rings, which would be pure because they wouldn't be influenced by Sauron. But at that point, Sauron had already achieved his goals and was on his way to Mordor.

Gil-galad said that Galadriel would actually bring back the evil she fought. He was right

Gil-galad is not the elf kingdom's monarch by accident. He foresaw that Galadriel would unintentionally bring the big evil that she had been hunting back in the very first episode. Gil-galad consults with Elrond after attempting to send her back to Valinor to finish her days in the elf homeland and away from Middle-earth.

Elrond explains that Galadriel was adamant that her search should go on.

Gil-galad responds, "We prophesied that if it had, she could have unintentionally preserved the exact evil she meant to combat. For the wind that tries to put out a fire could also spread it.

Halbrand directs Galadriel towards the Southlands

Galadriel was thoroughly mistreated this season. She ignores all the cues that Sauron may be there in front of her since she is so focused on finding him. Taking advantage of her rage is Sauron. He tells her during an interrogation on the raft that her opponent is in the Southlands, which sets off a chain of events in which Galadriel persuades the Nmenóreans to accompany her to the Southlands and suffer significant losses during the construction of Mount Doom.

Halbrand let those other people on the raft die

Halbrand and Galadriel initially met during a horrific storm. On a raft with five other people, he was abandoned at sea. Halbrand leaves those people to die as a sea monster strikes their homemade vessel. Because he saves Galadriel, we are willing to forget that specific act of cruelty, even though we now see that he always planned to manipulate Galadriel for his own gain. We weren't all that upset when the other passengers on the boat perished since they were anti-elf (presumably Southlanders like the ones who despised the elf soldier, Arondir).

Halbrand's very first deed was one of callousness, if not cruelty. Nevertheless, you can evaluate people—or, um, dark lords—by their behaviors.

Why Did Sauron Go To Mordor?

Adar's actions had made Mordor a paradise for evil, allowing it to flourish there. The moment the hilt was put into the slot, dark forces were summoned, transforming Southlands into Mordor. Sauron intended to summon everything he could to forge the One Ring because there was a great secret at the heart of Mount Doom. The master ring, which would be superior to all other rings, could only be made there, he knew. He desired to overthrow the elves and usurp himself as the sole legitimate ruler of Middle Earth. 

Mordor was also a highly safe and sound location tactically. If Sauron had given it any consideration, he could have understood that if he built his stronghold there—which he did—the topography would be on his side because the mountains provided a natural defense on three sides. Because of this, Barad-dur was thought to be impenetrable; the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy revealed that Samwise Gamgee and Frodo Baggins were probably the only two who managed to do so while remaining alive.

What will cause of downfall of Sauron ? Spoilers!!

We will most likely see how Sauron created the One Ring and then lead his army into the War of the Last Alliance in Season 2 of "The Rings of Power." He had no idea that a young navy cadet he had been traveling with on the Numenorean ship would eventually bring him to ruin. When they departed from Numenor and sailed for the Southlands, Isildur and Sauron were aboard the same ship. Being one of the greatest Maia, Sauron had a vague sense that their fates were intertwined. He continued to look at Isildur as though something had caused their fates to change in the past. However, Sauron couldn't be certain.Isildur, Elendil's son, was the one who had to chop his fingers in order to get the one Ring free of the Dark Lord. It should have been destroyed by Isildur.

But as it is stated, men's hearts are frequently depraved, thus Isildur decided to keep it for himself rather than tossing it into the volcano's lava. In spite of losing his physical form, Sauron's essence was still partially present in Mordor. Once more, the Dark Lord waited patiently for a chance to seize control and realize his ambition of ruling Middle Earth.
